Student Experiences

" My experience in the Instructional Technology program may be somewhat unique because of my limited background with computers. Coming into the program, my only experience with computer usage was with Microsoft Word, surfing the web, and writing e-mail; therefore, I felt that I was at a disadvantage. However, I would not let lack of experience discourage any prospective student from entering the program. At times my projects tended to be a little more basic than some of the others; however, I gained an incredible amount of knowledge about the use and potential use of technology in education.

My experiences with my peers and instructors have always been positive. The environment in the IT program is very supportive and encouraging. It’s a close-knit program in which collaboration and peer feedback is a constant. Beside the quality of the program itself, it has been a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and share with other professionals."
