Whether you are contemplating a career in music or just looking for an outlet for your musical talents, we have abundant opportunities for you here. The department sponsors three vocal and four instrumental ensembles that are open to students in all majors. Some require an audition, but others are open to all who wish to participate, including musicians from the community. Vocalists and instrumentalists looking for a private teacher will find instructors here who can take them to the next level of music performance, whatever their instrument or level of achievement.
The Oremus Fine Arts building is home to the Department of Music
Students contemplating a major in music will find a complete curriculum
in music theory, history, technology, and business leading to a Bachelor
of Arts degree. Small classes and professionally active instructors contribute
to the musical and educational development of every student. Double majors
and minors in music are also encouraged. Financial Aid is available from
a number of sources.
